I didn’t keep meticulous track of this piece as I worked on it, but you can see that I tend to just kind of wing it. I’ll build the elements of particular interest, and then move outward from there, just providing overall tones. Then, I develop and refine everything, equally. This is necessary to ensure that no one part of the drawing becomes overworked.
